Summary:
The Agricultural Loan Relationship Assistant is responsible for the relationship development and customer service for agriculture loans.
Coordination of the pre and post-closing loan transaction, prepare complex loan documents and track ongoing file requirements.
Essential Functions:
Support loan officer by coordinating all steps of the loan transaction, from application to closing.
Complete borrower checklist and documentation.
Ensure proper approval for note request and any variances from loan presentation summary prior to document preparation.
Communicate with loan officer, customer and any third parties involved with closing, to determine dates and specific needs for loan closing and gather any deficiencies.
Assemble documentation request packet and ensure adherence to all bank policies, including bank loan policy, government regulations, and compliance requirements.
Including completion of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) worksheet as applicable.
Prepare closed loans for funding and send to input.
Process files after closing and prepare to send to post closing Service existing loan files, initiate renewals and/or extensions as loans approach maturity, and other portfolio management and servicing that includes customer contact as well as scan/index documents on computer software, and update ticklers.
Accept, process and post all Ag Loan deposits, transfers and payments.
Understand and use core posting methods including online banking, TMS and block entries.
Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role.
Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function to this position.
Qualifications:
Ag Loan Assistant experience preferred.
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and in working with other bank software.
Preferred Talents:
Effective communicator - written and verbal Organized Self-directed and takes initiative Deadline driven and ability to prioritize Accurate and detailed Working Environment:
Indoor work - not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
Sedentary work, occasionally lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds.
This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
